Collectively, the trio brings over 50 years of
sales and marketing experience working
with CPG, retail and media clients in the digital landscape
Walnut Creek, Calif. (March 1st, 2019) – MediaJel™, a leading advertising and marketing platform, hired three new executives in the first quarter as its business continues to grow with the expansion of its corporate headquarters and new Denver office. John Lacy joined MediaJel as its senior vice president of sales in January 2019, Dash Rothberg was hired as vice president of advertising in February, and Todd Hossfeld, vice president of account services was appointed senior vice president of account services in March. They bring additional leadership to a team focused on building consumer relationships on behalf of emerging cannabis businesses that must navigate a fragmented U.S. market for advertising cannabis products while growing its CPG-focused core.
“John, Dash and Todd bring CPG, retail and digital media experience to MediaJel at a critical point in our growth,” says Jake Litke, CEO of MediaJel. “Their industry knowledge combined with our technology will provide our clients with performance-driven solutions to grow their businesses. This will be especially helpful for our cannabis clients where a fragmented ad market requires a deep understanding of how to use digital media to target a more difficult-to-reach consumer and navigate the legal requirements of that specific industry.”
Collectively, the trio has worked for clients including Kellogg’s, Coors, Coca-Cola, Toyota, Adidas, Walmart, Dollar General and the Wall Street Journal. Previously, Lacy worked at Advantage Media as vice president of business development, Rothberg worked at such companies such as Twitter and more recently at FuelX as its sales and marketing lead, and Hossfeld worked at Diverge Branding as its director of marketing and business development.
“We are excited at the great depth of talent we have been able to add to the team,” says MedaiJel President Aaron Silverman. “Whether it is in shopper marketing or mobile and programmatic advertising. This level of experience provides great resources for both our CPG and cannabis clients.”
Earlier this year, CaniBrands became the latest cannabis company to secure MediaJel’s services, partnering to launch and promote an e-commerce platform for CBD products.
