  3. Paid Search (SEM): Paid search that owns the non-branded terms shoppers type, from product queries to “dispensary near me.”
  4. Paid Social: Social campaigns that grow brand recognition and feed your retargeting pools, without putting your page at risk.
  5. SEO & Local Search: We make your pages the best answer to the questions your buyers are already asking, then earn the links to prove it.
  6. Geofencing & Audience Targeting: Reach shoppers inside and around dispensaries, competitors, and events using precise, privacy-safe location data.

The New-Market Playbook

Kentucky buyers are new to legal cannabis, which means confidence matters more than promotion. Education-led marketing converts better here than discounting does.

  • Answer the basic questions publicly. In a new market, the clearest brand looks like the safest one.
  • Own search early. It is the cheapest it will ever be in this market.
  • Build the first-party audience now, so retention costs less later.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the cannabis advertising rules in Kentucky?

Paid print, broadcast, and online ads for medicinal cannabis sales are not allowed. Signage, listings, sponsorships, and informational websites and social accounts are. Our Kentucky cannabis advertising laws page walks through the current requirements.

How fast are Kentucky medical cannabis dispensaries opening?

Kentucky's first dispensary, The Post in Beaver Dam, made its first sales December 13, 2025. By August 28, 2026, the Office of Medical Cannabis listed 24 operating dispensaries, from Paducah in the west to Ashland in the east. New openings keep changing which towns patients can reach, so operators should update target areas as nearby stores open.

Do you only work with businesses in Kentucky?

No. Kentucky sits next to the adult-use markets in Illinois, Ohio, and Missouri and the medical programs in West Virginia and Virginia, and the ad rules differ in each. Virginia adds adult-use sales on July 1, 2027. We plan campaigns across state lines, so expanding next door does not mean starting over with a new agency. Want to see what that looks like in Kentucky? Book a demo.

Is cannabis advertising allowed in Kentucky?

Only in narrow forms. Kentucky is medical-only and bars paid print, broadcast, and online ads for medicinal cannabis sales. Search visibility, websites, and patient education do the work. Our Kentucky cannabis advertising laws breakdown covers the full rules.

How do you prove marketing drives sales?

You see which ads led to sales. We connect your campaign to your online menu and purchase data, then report revenue and return on ad spend for each campaign, creative, and audience. Clicks alone don't count as proof.

What size cannabis business do you work with?

Any size, as long as there is budget to measure. We have run Kentucky programs from one location up to multi-state portfolios. Are you a dispensary, an MSO, a delivery service, a cannabis brand, or a CBD brand? We run programs built for each.

How soon will we see results?

This all depends on how long your business has been open and what your growth goals are. We set expectations per channel during kickoff calls. Would you like to book a demo?
